At Free Spirit Cambs we have been working hard behind the scenes to do as much as possible to keep informed, up to date on current affairs and educated to be able to offer the best support to anyone seeking our services.
Since we began in November 2020 we have both become Ask Me Ambassadors for Women’s Aid, in February 2021 we completed our fundraising to pay for facilitator training to bring The Freedom Programme to the local community and nationally via zoom, Huntingdon District Council gave us a grant to be able to bring more to the community, we completed training with NCDV on Domestic Abuse Court Orders and how they help victims become survivors, Rachael has completed facilitator training to run the Domestic Abuse Recovery Toolkit courses for both adults and children and young people. We have attended Women’s Aid Ask Me Ambassador meetings to learn what their next steps are in providing support and education to further help victims and survivors. In September 2021 we completed our facilitator training to add in Freedom Forever the follow-on course to The Freedom Programme and most recently we joined a webinar with SUTDA (Stand Up To Domestic Abuse) which had a wealth of knowledge, celebrity support and we joined in Standing Up To Domestic Abuse!
We are now in the process of putting together our own separate courses to offer support for the LGBTQ+ community and male victims. There will be more information on this as the programme progresses. If you are interested in finding out more about us or the support we offer please do get in touch.

For every women their is a strong surviver you neither have to be weak nor should feel weakness...I've learnt that it's best not to challange the abuser as they cannot control their own behaviour but once you gain power back you'll feel good in the end..remember you are not alone if you are a victim
